“I already know all that.”

But here’s the paradox: the very thought “I know everything” is often the Child Mind speaking—the emotional brain formed by age six or seven, still shaping how we perceive reality today.
If, as a child, you once believed you knew better than your parents, that unconscious pattern may still color how you relate to authority figures now—parents, older siblings, partners, bosses, even leaders. Without realizing it, you may carry a quiet current of blame or resistance that drains energy and shows up as fatigue, frustration, or anxiety.
The antidote? Practice listening to advice and feedback—even when it feels uncomfortable.
